Marie was born in Arlon, in Belgium.

​She holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the Catholic University of Leuven. While being a student there, she spent a semester abroad at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where she earned a Certificate in Transnational Law.

​She also holds an additional Master’s Degree in International Humanitarian Action from the Catholic University of Leuven.

​

​Marie was hired as jurist at MBONYUMUTWA | AVOCATS in 2019 and was attending the Complementary Luxembourgish Law Classes (CCDL) that she has successfully passed in April 2020 before being admitted as Attorney-at-Law to the Luxembourg Bar on June 11th 2020.

​Her areas of focus are Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
​The areas of law she particularly specialises in are the law that governs the rights of foreign nationals, family law, and labour law.

​Marie speaks French and English fluently.

​She particularly enjoys travelling, hiking, sport, and reading.
